Inspiring Ideas for Plant Based Eating
Please join me at Northwest Santa Rosa Library for a cooking demonstration using winter vegetables from local farmers markets.
When the winter rolls around, we have a change in what vegetables are in season. Here in California we are lucky that vegetables grow year round and we can eat more than just hard winter squash like they do on the East Coast. We have so many vegetables from which to choose but many people have never eaten them, let alone cooked them. Come learn about winter vegetables: how to choose them, store them and how to cook them to bring out the best flavor. Jill will be bringing in examples of what’s in season from bok choy and escarole to parsnips and rutabaga. She will provide recipes, discuss cooking techniques and show you how to cook these winter beauties. Samples are provided.
Pre-registration is required. Please call or stop by the library to reserve your spot today!!
