You have likely seen me wax on about the Mealthy CrispLid which fits on any 6 or 8 quart multicooker that has a stainless steel insert (like the Instant Pot, Mealthy or Zavor, formerly Fagor) and how much I like it.
It is now available in the U.S. and Canada and I hear that soon it will come on board in Europe. For now, you can enter to win one if you live in the U.S. or Canada.
I have been enjoying my lid: I store it on top of my cooker so that it takes up less space, basically no extra counter top space at all. Someone recently mentioned that she would use her Instant Pot (or Mealthy) cooker more but it takes time to take it out of her cupboard. I suggested doing what I do, which is storing it on the countertop so that I don’t forget about using it.
My CrispLid gets used two to three times each week. Here is what I have had to say about it in this post. And I also made wonderful veggie burgers that got a turn under the lid. In addition to those made with black beans, I made some with leftover Tempeh Tagine from Vegan Under Pressure mixed with millet and cilantro. They were mighty tasty, too, and I stashed four of them in the freezer for later.
Click here to read more about the Mealthy CrispLid. I have successfully cooked regular and sweet potatoes, tofu, tempeh, eggplant, onions and green beans. I am sure that there is much more that I can do with the lid, and hope that you are the winner so you can experiment with it.
The newest version of the CrispLid has a deeper basket which has handles (brilliant) and the lid also has lower temperatures, one of which goes down to 113 degrees F. and will stay on for up to 12 hours at a time for dehydrating.
I dehydrated some organic red onions but the jury is out on dehydrating for me, as I am not sure that it’s worth taking up my air frying or pressure cooking time to dehydrate a small amount. I have considered using a short trivet and both the smaller and deep basket to dehydrate 2 items at once.
Please comment with why you want to win the lid and what you would like to make in it. Giveaway ends December 15th at 9 pm PST. Any comments after that time will not be considered. The winner will be chosen by random drawing. If you are not one of the winners, I would like to let you know that you can get $10 off on any Mealthy products of $59.95 or more with code THEVEGGIEQUEEN at checkout from the Mealthy site. The CrispLid is $64.95 in the U.S. and higher in Canada (sorry folks to the north).
Good luck. The CrispLid will come directly from the Mealthy company, who is sponsoring this giveaway.
Happy Holidays.

Jill, for me yours is the best of the whole foods plant based blogs/newsletters! I read every word. I would love to add the Mealthy to my Instant Pot which enjoys making your recipes from my VEGAN UNDER PRESSURE cookbook which I use so much more since I had the $4 spiral added at Staples.

Waaoooo!!! I would love to win this because I’ve never tried using an air fryer before! I am committed to living in a Tiny Home and minimalist practices, so I don’t have space for yet another kitchen device. How wonderful that this would fit on the Instant Pot that I already have!
Also, I have a personal chef client with severe allergies and only eats ten food ingredients. I’d love to try air frying to provide a new food texture for her.
Thanks Jill for introducing me to this new kitchen possibility!

I use my Instant Pot almost daily and can’t wait to try out this new way of cooking with it!

I would enjoy the Mealthy for airfrying okra, sweet potatoes and potatoes, but it seems like a good solution for browning the top of my Instant Pot made lasagna.

I appreciate your blog and the information you share. I would love to have a Mealthy Crispy Lid to extend the usefulness of my Instant Pot. Crunchy is one of my favorite experiences and it would be nice to enjoy crunchy in more than raw vegetables.
