Sometimes things come across my desk and I just don’t know what to do with them. (Does this happen to you? ) And sometimes I know just what to do with them but somehow they get lost in the shuffle. That’s the case with this terrific little ebook that Stephanie Weaver of Recipe Renovator put together. This book is available as a PDF download or as an enhanced version for the iPad.
If you are new to eating vegan, dairy-free or gluten-free, this might be your best ever under $3 purchase, and I am not kidding. You will likely find it much more useful and satisfying than slugging down your next soy chai latte.
In this small book, you will find recipes for kitchen staples. This is what’s tucked inside: Almond Milk, Sour Cream and Creme Fraiche, Cheesy Sauce for Quick Mac n Cheese, Margarine, Grateable, Meltable Cheese, Countertop Tofu Cheese, Ricotta Cheese, Mayonnaise, Spreadable Pub Cheese, Egg Substitutes, Cashew Yogurt and Tofu Misozuke (Aged Tofu Cheese).
Making any one of these just once will save you the cost of the download, and you will be more in charge than ever with your vegan, gluten-free food supply.
This is a great little book. Stephanie said that I can give away two copies of this to the lucky winners. You have until midnight on June 30th to leave a comment about why you want to win the book and why you love dairy-free eating.

This looks like such a great resource! EVERYONE should have a copy of this. Most people are so brain-washed by the dairy industry that they don’t even question it, or know that you can make delicious, dairy-free substitutes that are so much healthier. Kudos for writing this, Stephanie Weaver!

I’ve gone dairy-free since diagnosed with breast cancer 1 1/2 years ago. Dairy-free is more challenging for me than meat-free, so I’m always looking for ways to substitute for dairy…especially cheese!

What a great collection of very usable recipes! Things you want to substitute frequently in converting recipes! I just started home yogurt making and am very excited about the idea of cashew yogurt, sounds yummy! I find the switch to dairy free leaves me feeling better in general, but especially less bloated. Top that with the concern about dairy possibly loaded with hormones and perhaps even increasing one’s risk of cancer, dairy doesn’t look so appetizing.
Besides the fact the plant based products taste better, knowing they a healthier is a win win.
I’m looking forward to using this e-book a lot!
