I am having a contest. I want your best veggie burger recipes. They can be anything that you want or like to make – based on beans, grains, soy, nuts. It’s your choice. The only caveat is that you may not use any animal products.
The prize package is still being put together but will definitely include food: some sweet treats, some spices and other goodies, including one of my Garlic Twists. Only one person will win.
The deadline is midnight PST on September 6th. The students in my Santa Rosa Junior College class will make the burgers and help determine the winner.
Post the title of your recipe in the comments section, along with what inspired you to make it. Then email me the complete recipe at jill at the veggiequeen.com (written out as an email address). If you have any questions, just let me know.
I really want these burger recipes because I need something tasty to go along with my pickles. Good luck.

Jane,
These burgers sound wonderful, any way that you serve them. I love burgers that can be frozen because it makes life so much easier. Good food is available all the time without cooking each time.
Thanks for submitting. Good luck.
I can’t wait to try them.

Deluxe Oat Burgers
Deluxe Oat Burgers are delicious!! They’re very simple to make. When ever I make them I put some in the freezer too. You can cook them frozen. So you can come home from a hard days work and cook a frozen burger. It doesn’t take long to cook. We eat them with a whole grain bun. Sometimes I make brown rice, steamed broccoli and an oat burger, and put a vegan gravy on the oat burger and rice.( My Vegan gravy is made with whole wheat, nutritional yeast, sage and thyme and water, fresh onion and fresh garlic). Mmm! Ono! (Hawaiian for delicious!)
Thank you! Jane Jacobs (Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada)
