Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
Makes 2 cups or will serve 6 as an appetizer
This is good served with warmed pita bread triangles or vegetables. Sometimes I put it in pita bread with salad and eat it for a sandwich. Using canned beans makes it truly a cinch.
2-3 cloves garlic
1 1/2 cups cooked garbanzo beans, you may use canned
1 red pepper roasted, or ½ cup jarred roasted red pepper
2 tablespoons sesame tahini
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon toasted cumin seeds, ground
1 dash of cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon reduced sodium tamari or Bragg’s liquid amino acids
2 to 4 tablespoons water
Put garlic in food processor. Pulse until chopped. Add beans and red pepper. Whir for about 15 seconds. Add tahini, lemon juice, cumin, cayenne and tamari, Add water, as needed until desired consistency.

Thank you for such a wonderful website and sharing your talent!
You may be aware, there is a typo in your “5 key tips”. After number 5 “could” is misspelled. “There are many more things that I could add”.
Recipes are fantastic, and you inspire me (even though I am a RDN) to eat more vegetables.
Sorry to hear you had to evacuate, but glad you are fine!
Thanks again, and have a wonderful day!
