My Favorite Holiday Gifts (Really What I’d like to get) – With a BIG Eco and Vegan Slant
I don’t actually NEED anything but more love and peace in my life but I do like to get gifts. This list is not all inclusive but it covers a lot of ground.
Beauty Products
Ellovi – I use Ellovi Body butter on my face and my husband loves the blossom (citrus) scent on his face, arms and head. I also use the tinted lip butter and vanilla flavored regularly and they just came out with a key lime flavor. You can also find it on Amazon but why not give the money directly to the people who make it? And you can get 20% off with the code Veggiequeen. (I make zero money from this but get to support an ethical vegan company.)
Anna of Napa Valley Au Naturel has amazing aromatherapy products. I haven’t had a bad one yet. I love the body polishing scrubs. While pricey, I found that I could add much more salt and get twice as much out of them. The Angel Whispers spray and the Namaste-a-Knockin are both wonderful to spray right before sleep time. Also, check out the medicinals: Migraine Relief, Anxiety Alleve (which I use for travel) and Good Grief – you know what that’s for.
Mother Dirt – is a new to me product that I have taken a shine to. I use the cleanser, moisturizer, and spray. The spray is the probiotic part.
Goddess Garden is a clean product that was formulated by a mom who had a child with highly sensitive skin. She started with sunscreen and has branched out from there
Plant Therapy has essential oils. Check them out.
For those who travel:
When I travel, my whole goal is to stay healthy. And it often starts with keeping all those germs off my hands. So I use 2 different products:
Elyptol spray which is new, or
Cleanwell for your hands
For keeping my body in order I carry with me:
Host Defense Immune Spray.
It comes in Peppermint, or Cinnamon
Wishgarden Herbs for some herbal relief.  I love the Mo’ Betta Belly, Deep Stress and Emotional Ally for this time of year. All their blends are easy to use and they have an entire kids line.
CHICO Bags especially the Chico Duffle which has saved me on many of my travels. It can go through as luggage after you have filled it with what you buy but it packs up into a very small pouch. I also use the other bags for daily shopping at home and when traveling:
Charities
Give to your local food bank as they help many people. Mine is the Redwood Empire Food Bank
The Coalition for Healthy School Food does amazing work with vegan food in the schools in New York City
The Food Literacy Center encourages children to learn about food and eat their veggies:
Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine promotes a plant-based diet for all people, and helps keep animals out of the laboratory.
Kiva is a microloan site. You can give as little as $25 and it gets repaid. My original $75 donation has been repaid and sent back out at least 4 times over the past 4 years. And you get to choose who you would like to support. I often choose women in agriculture if they raise vegetables, not animals.
First Books gets books into the hands of children who have no books. I can’t even imagine that.
Whatever you do, be sure to give love to everyone who needs it. There are many people less fortunate than we are and love is good all year long. I am grateful to you. Happy Holidays.
